Okay bestie, let’s clear this up right away because this trips up so many brides:

Wedding dress sizing is NOT the same as street sizing.

Like… not even close.

Most bridal gowns run about 1–2 sizes smaller than what you wear in everyday clothes. So if you see a tag that feels bigger than expected - do not look at it, do not spiral, do not text the group chat. The number means nothing. We promise.

What does matter?

1. How the dress fits
2. How you feel in it
3. How stunning you’re going to look walking down the aisle

"But what if my body changes before the wedding?"

First of all - totally normal.
Second - deep breath. You’re good.

Bodies change. Life happens. Stress, travel, workouts, busy schedules… all normal. Whether your measurements go up or down, alterations are here to save the day. Here's the good news:

1. Most gowns have extra fabric allowance in the seams, so they can usually be let out a bit
2. If your measurements go down, dresses can always be taken in
3. Alterations are a normal part of the bridal process - not a problem, just a step

A gentle reminder about sizing down:
We get it. The idea is tempting. But ordering a dress that’s too small can bring unnecessary stress - and we are not here for that energy.

1. Dresses can always be taken in
2. It’s harder (and sometimes impossible) to make them bigger
3. Comfort + confidence > a number on a tag

Trust the process. Trust your stylist. Trust your body.

The bottom line: Do. Not. Stress.
You are going to look absolutely beautiful in your dress.

The sizing, the timeline, the alterations - it all works out. Your only job? Fall in love with the gown, enjoy the moment, and remember: that dress was made to fit YOU - not the other way around.
